Sustainable materials for the boating sector!
ECO-BOATS SKILLS
Do you work or are planning to work in the eco-boat building sector? Are you a traditional boat building company but want to advance in the development of your green skills? Then is project is of your interest!
introduction
Eco-boats is an Erasmus+ co-funded project which aims at advancing the development of green skills within the innovative and sustainable Ecoboat
building industry and the wider boat building industry.
The concrete objective of the project is to research and produce a Guide that explores who are the boat builders and stakeholders engaged in Eco-boat building, which methods and/ or materials are used, and to identify the new skills needed for this. The project is running three ‘Skills Shadowing Workshops’ where the project partners come together to exchange good practice and learn new skills and understand the different methods used to construct the vessels they produce.
The Guide will be disseminated to boat builders throughout the EU including Eco-boat builders in order to create a wide awareness of the new methods and materials used and the skills and techniques required to perform the work of building greener more sustainable boats.
a consortium committed to sustainability
Nauta Morgau, Innovation Yachts, and Greenboats are three distinct partners united in their core mission to bring more sustainability to boat building. Each partner has developed specific methodologies for handling the materials used in boat construction, resulting in a wide spectrum of expertise. While the methodologies themselves are not new, the partners distinguish themselves through their innovative approaches that could lead to even more high-performing results.
In collaboration with Sea Teach, these partners have joined forces to share their knowledge and experiences with other eco-boat builders and boat builders. The workshops cover a variety of materials, from the traditional use of wood to the utilization of natural fibres and so-called volcanic fibres. Each company has developed its own specialization, and through their cooperation, they now bring together their combined knowledge. We invite you to join our network and benefit from the expertise of our partners. Together, we can drive sustainable change in boat building and shape the future of the industry.
